iPod CD Importer is a free tool that automates the whole process of transferring CD audio tracks to your iPod player. You will still need to have iTunes installed and running in your computer, but you will not have to go through all the steps normally required to move your music to your iPod.
It is, somehow, like a cute little Graphical User Interface that performs all those tasks in the background, thus saving you loads of time. The codec and the quality of the audio files that are finally transferred into your iPod will be exactly the same as those you had previously set in iTunes for its standard importing process. You can transfer full discs or just those songs you are really interested in, and you have the option of leaving them in your iTunes library (for future reference) or just delete them. This useful tool will also get rid of any other temporary files used during the transferring process, such as the source uncompressed files extracted from the CD or those created during the audio conversion tasks.
iPod CD Importer will search for you the artist, the album, and the name of all the tracks in the CD (when available), which means that all the tracks transferred to your iPod will be properly tagged beforehand.
From the user’s perspective, the whole importing process is transparent and simple – all you will notice is that your music has been seamlessly transferred from your CDs to your iPod in one simple and fast operation. |
